Marina Square date: Cosplay exhibition, Seoul Yummy, Pool, and Teddy & Me cafe

No nonsense caps-locked sign.
Stumbled across the Singapore Cosplay Club Show while we were at Marina Square for a dinner date. Browsed through some merchandise and admired the cosplay.

Trafalgar Law is the photographer of death?

Random dude.

Left to right: Kaya Irimi, Ken Kaneki (post-torture), Ken kaneki (pre-torture)
Tokyo Ghoul is an awesome manga, I am wholeheartedly awaiting the sequel. I wouldn't mind if Ken Kaneki is no longer the main character, if he even survives Arima's eyeball/brain scrambling. He probably does, otherwise the personal revelation he had would have been meaningless. There are a couple of people who are now missing limbs, Amon, Seidou and Juuzou (Shinohara is a veggie now so not counted.). This leads me to believe that the Kakuja Quinque might be made capable of supporting the user's missing limb. However, Seidou and Amon are captured and I'm guessing that Seidou will probably be made into a half-ghoul by Kanou (who now has the manager). Amon is Kaneki's link to the human side in order to fix the twisted world, so I'm betting he remains human.

Quite the crowd.

Card games and yet another Trafalgar Law.
Had the "Army Stew" meal @ Seoul Yummy, I didn't think it was worth the money.

Looks good.

Still looks good, but...
... its all instant food, and it tastes that way. Kind of bland, homely, and boring. Definitely not something you want to eat on a night out, I could probably throw something like this together at home. There's cheapo sausages, luncheon meat, instant noodles, baked beans, tofu, some meat, and the stock tastes like ramen seasoning plus tomatoes.

Array of side dishes
Can't comment on the side dishes since I absolutely hate kimchi, hated it since I first ate some of that smelly fermented spicy crap in Korea in 2003. I am addicted to Chilsung Cider though, wish they served that instead of iced lemon tea.

Red beans and macha balls
This is the only redeeming feature of the entire meal, the red beans are sweet and crunchy with chewy macha balls. The marshmallows are just unnecessary.

GM playing pool

Looking professional
We suck at pool, but it was fun. I am legally obliged to mention that the overall winner was GM, because I kept sinking the 8 ball and the cue together though.

Looked gimmicky at first

Mr Bean episodes
The iPad at the side of each table allows you to watch Mr Bean episodes while enjoying your food. It's a nice touch, and we watched 3 whole episodes. It was weird that some of the episodes seemed to be downloaded off a Chinese piracy website, but I don't really care about issues regarding piracy.

Counter
Ordering is done at the counter near to the entrance and the whole thing seems very haphazard, the staff don't really know where you are sitting, the menu is cluttered with cartoons, and the queue extends out of the shop. The cashier mistook my order for mocha as macchiato, but it was fine.

As long as it's coffee
The coffee tasted good, a little sweet, but that's a macchiato I guess. Tried to make GM eat most of the caramel on top of the foam before stirring it in.

Ugly teddies
These seem to be the official merchandise for teddy these days, in that case my teddy from the 90's is of way better build and looks more authentic to the actual screen prop.

English telephone booths and women

Tadah!
